Cloud technology at Oxfordshire Hospital School

Organisations are increasingly dependent on cloud technologies. In a long term partnership with Power Up IT, OHS have migrated core technologies and applications to the cloud. Using Google Workspace has opened up new possibilities with remote device management, Chromebooks, cloud web filtering and interactive software being rolled out across the organisation. Power UP IT worked to design the solution with OHS – designing shared digital spaces and clever information architecture that allowed staff to easily migrate to and navigate new technologies in the cloud.

Innovation at Multimodal

In a long term partnership with the Multimodal Literacy programme, Power Up IT provides a service desk for over two hundred users, young people and families who need their technology to keep them active in their learning by reading and writing. Working with vulnerable young people requires technology to be safe and secure, our technical experts have delivered systems that maintains and support users remotely, as well as providing a safe online space.

Security at Raedwald Trust

IT used to be about fixing printers and installing new applications. Now everyone appreciates how dependent we all are on technology. We take a proactive approach to security, we’ll use ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials standards to provide a benchmark for you and work with you to enhance security and improve processes.

We worked with Raedwald Trust, representing 7 schools, to implement improvements and changes to achieve Cyber Essentials, a nationwide, Government endorsed quality mark for cyber security. This provided confidence for the leadership team, reducing risk of disruption to core services across the schools.

In addition, Power Up IT provide back up and emergency support to the ICT team at Raedwald Trust, this provides further educes the risk of critical IT service disruption impacted by staff sickness or leave.

Improving internet availability across St Peter’s Church

Power Up provide a managed ICT service at St Peter’s church in Harold Wood. One of the first tasks was to review and improve Wifi coverage within the buildings. Working closely with the church leadership and technology team, Power Up IT designed and installed new switches, and a Wifi solution that radically improved connectivity and speed for the users.
