Cyber Security Audit for Hospital Schools

When was your last Cyber security review?

Power Up IT is a technology partner already working with Raedwald Trust, The Children’s School Leicester and Oxfordshire Hospital School. We wanted to share a new service that we are launching which we believe would be of value and interest to Hospital Schools.

A core service

Hospital Schools recognise the criticality of safe and effective technology. Whether it’s to deliver an engaging curriculum, support efficiency and productivity for staff across the business and education teams or to find new ways to communicate with parents, carers and the local community – technology is a core service that your staff and students rely on.

A changing landscape

Technology is constantly changing, the rate of change has accelerated recently, the themes of artificial intelligence, virtual reality and cyber security are rarely out of the news headlines. Technology enables and transforms, but only when it is resiliently planned, strategically managed and effectively resourced. Every organisation benefits from the reflection and review that an external audit can provide. It’s reassuring for leadership to know that ICT is safe, secure and resilient.

Reassuring security audit

Our new Cyber Security Audit is based on the UK Government’s flagship IT security accreditation, Cyber Essentials. In addition, we have included questions from ISO 27001, the international standard for data security. This means that the audit is developed specifically for a Hospital school environment.

The audit will help schools to understand if they will meet these standards and if not, what they can do to reach the standards.

Our Cyber security audit may be the initial step that many Hospital schools take to gain insight into their policy and processes. Forward thinking schools are committed to continuous improvement, in order to constantly monitor and evaluate risk.

As a follow on step, many schools may wish to use the audit as a launch-pad to achieving the Cyber Essentials accreditation certificate.
